Starting with the 2004/05 season (ie from 1st November 2004), the Main Tour will use a 24-event rolling ranking list. Rankings will reflect performance over the last 24 events. As there are more than 12 tour stops per year, the 24-event period will equate to less than two years.
Players accrue points according to their performance in every tournament, according to the following allocations:
| Place | Points |
|---|---|
| 1st | 700 |
| 2nd | 580 |
| 3-4 | 500 |
| 5-8 | 430 |
| 9-16 | 370 |
| 17-32 | 320 |
| 33-48 | 240 |
| 49-64 | 200 |
| 65-96 | 170 |
| 97-128 | 140 |
| 129-192 | 120 |
| 193-256 | 100 |
On completion of tournament number 25, the points from tournament 1 are then deducted. After tournament 26 , the points from tournament 2 are deducted and so on.
Starter points and bonus points will also be deducted in the same manner, e.g. following tournament 25, any bonus or starter points which were awarded in the same month as tournament 1 will be deducted together with the ranking points for tournament 1.
